Surface Finishes

Regardless of style, you can determine the surface finish for your weapon paint.

Introduction

In addition to Finish Styles, in Lambda we also have surface finishes.

This determines how your weapon finish reacts to light and what type of material your finish is.

Matte

Matte is the default surface finish. There is some shine, but gives a hard plastic feel to the weapon.

This surface finish is usually used on the following paint styles:

  • Solid Colour
  • Spray-Paint
  • Hydrographic

Glossy

Similar to Matte, but there is more intense lighting, increasing the shine.

Rough Paint

This Surface Finish is not currently widely used, but ultimately, this surface finish has very little in terms of light reaction.

Glossy Metal

As it says on the tin, this surface finish will make the weapon paint light as if it were metal.

This surface finish is usually used with the following paint styles:

  • Anodized Style
  • Anodized Airbrushed
  • Anodized Multicoloured
  • Patina
  • Gunsmith

Rough Metal

Similar to Glossy Metal, but this works best on weapon finishes with an industrial-grade type look.

This surface finish is usually used with the following paint styles:

  • Anodized Style
  • Anodized Airbrushed
  • Anodized Multicoloured
  • Patina
  • Gunsmith
