September 2026 Update is here! See what's new or View the changelogs
Lambdaβs September 2026 update, billed as its biggest yet, brings a Stronghold spiritual successor with revamped UI, radar, teams, bot support, reworked Field Tool, and custom base signs. Deathrun v2 moves to the CS base, Training returns, and DR5VE & SEEK gets a major overhaul. Timer Engine was fully refactored, UI scaling is now universal, and 1v1 Arena adds two maps. Beyond gameplay, the update adds a Summer 2026 terminal, knife/glove quick sell, forums, global search, groups, a custom content portal, and a rebuilt creator portal with paid community jobs.
The September 2026 update is here and we have a lot to share.
With this update we are introducing a spiritual successor to Stronghold.

We are calling it a spiritual sucessor as we've not done a 1:1 replication of all the features original Stronghold had.
Features such as weapon attachments and ironsights are not present and are not planned for implementation.
Everything else is the same but with a brand new UI, radar and a better team system.
The field tool has been reworked completely, featuring a new radial menu to select your tool mode

The Spawn Menu no longer derrives from the Sandbox spawn menu, but is now more compact and easier to use

A new addition to this version of Stronghold is the ability to create custom signs to put on your bases.
Using the Field Tool, select "Sign"

Place it on a wall outside your base
Once built, you can also add some custom text

Stronghold now comes with native bot support, so the server is never empty.
Deathrun has now been migrated off our aging old base gamemode and has now been moved on to our CS Base Gamemode.

In addition, Deathrun now has a mini-version of Timer Engine - This is meant to be a non-competitive leaderboard to see how long (If you can) it takes you to get to the end of the map.
Training is back on LambdaNet with a fresh coat of paint.

The map has been updated with some fixes, in addition there's now an entirely new Bomb Defuse scenario.
All previous training times have been reset, so head in there now to get your new records!
We've played this a few times before during Game Nights, it's a fairly simple gamemode where there are seeker cars and hiders.
It was a gamemode created by Zet0r and comissioned by Renault.
With todays update, a new version of the gamemode, based upon our Base CS Gamemode has been released.

It features a brand new HUD, support for adding additional gametypes and new cars.

One of the biggest new features is the fact we've added a GTA-style radio wheel with some of the classic GTA San Andreas radio stations

More radio stations will be added over time and we look forward to hearing your feedback to improve the gamemode further.
With the last gamemode now migrated to our new gamemode base, Timer Engine is now one of the oldest gamemodes left.
I didn't feel it was right to try and migrate it over as Timer Engine is unique and requires a lot of modifications.
So I decided to refactor the gamemode completely and give the UI a lick of paint.

In the process a load of bugs were fixed (SSJ stats, leaderboard syncing and more) plus some old code such as sending leaderboards to clients were removed as we replaced this with client API calls a while ago.

Summer is not quite over yet! Today's update introduces a brand new Summer 2026 Terminal and collection.
This terminal also gives rare items, with a unique Summer 2026 Knife set.
Two new maps now available on 1v1 Arena.

This is a community map that features all of the 1v1 Arena's from CS:GO, including Inferno, Cache, Train, Vertigo and more.
Go back to the 90's with this CS 1.6, Dust themed map.

UI Scaling is now complete across the entirety of Lambda.
All gamemodes and things such as inventory now scale uniformly across all resolutions.

A popular request is to bring back quick selling of Knives and Gloves.
With this update, a dynamic quick sell system has been implemented, where each rarity of item and type of item has a base price, and the price is increased based on stats of the item such as having StatTrakβ’οΈ, the wear value, Souvenir status and more.

I find it to be a shame that the traditional internet forum has died off in favour of Discord, something which cannot be accessed publicly or easily archived.
So with today's update, I would like to re-introduce the forum.

Unlike with previous forums, this has a rewards system built right in, encouraging activity and high quality posts.
The website has been upgraded with Global Search.
Search for workshop items, economy items, forum posts, docs and more.

Create your very own sub-community within Lambda, with the new groups feature.

These work similar to Steam groups.
You can also set your favourite group:

You can then rep your group in-game with clan tags!

This update introduces the Custom Content portal.

This portal allows you to buy tokens for different types of content and then request a job for Lambda content creators to create.
Different types of content have different costs:

Once you have your token, you can then raise a request.

You can then manage your content jobs, view the status or withdraw if you've changed your mind

The content creator portal has been rewritten from scratch, featuring more integration with custom content jobs.

Here you will see a dashboard to quickly get to different areas along side your skills.
Skills are added and calculated automatically based on content you've already created and had accepted.
In order to take on weapon finish jobs, you need to already have a track record of accepted content. Skills are assigned automatically and we cannot assign them manually.

You can view all pending jobs for skills you already have.

You can choose whether to accept a job or not. You can also see any content you are working on and any existing completed content.
Yes! Content creators who accept and successfully deliver a custom content job will receive 50% of the token price. (This would be Β£10 for a Music Kit, Β£20 for a knife finish etc)
This is a fairly big update and there's big change logs to go with it too.
14 new missions have been added to Event Horizon under a new "Supernova (September 2026)" category, covering Arms Race, Skill Surf, Prop Hunt, Deathrun, Bunny Hop, Wingman, 1v1 Arena, Stronghold and more.
Opening a mission now tells you which gamemodes and maps it can be completed on, how difficult it is, where it takes place, and whether you have already started it, completed it, or hit your daily mission limit. Missions that need a LambdaNet lobby can now create one for you.
Missions read as "Easy", "Challenging", "Hard" and so on instead of using rarity colours alone.
Weapon finishes, knives and gloves are now quick sold at a price based on their rarity, exterior and StatTrak status rather than a single flat value. A Factory New StatTrak item is now worth considerably more than a Battle-Scarred one.
Hovering an inventory item now shows what it will actually sell for, labelled "Quick Sell".
Knives and gloves previously had no rarity pricing of their own and now sell for values appropriate to their tier.
A new Up-Link Terminal containing the 17 skin Summer 2026 collection, with a chance at a rare knife.
The Uplink terminal dealer comments on an offer's rarity, exterior, StatTrak status and silenced weapons, occasionally reads out the item's flavour text, and now pushes you for an answer on the first offer and warns you when you are on the last one.
Your primary group tag from the Lambda website is now displayed in front of your name.
Score events now appear as a stack of pills on the left of your screen, cascading in and fading out rather than appearing all at once. The feed also stays visible over open menus.
These screens no longer render at a fixed size on 1440p, 4K and ultrawide displays.
A new glyph font adds the icons used by this update's new gamemode logos and mission categories.
The vote counter and status message in the menu now update live instead of freezing at whatever they were when you opened it, and the button correctly disables itself once you have voted.
On a server with one or two players, RTV required a number of votes that could never be reached. It now needs everyone present to agree.
The cooldown was compared against the wrong value, so on some servers RTV could stay locked for the whole map.
The XP panel on the challenge complete popup displayed the money value instead of the XP earned. Long item names are also no longer cut off.
The bar used the wrong calculation and could show a near empty bar after a large XP gain. Levelling up now fills the bar, and multi level jumps show the level you actually reached rather than the next one.
Menus, HUDs, popups and windows across the whole game were built for a 1080p screen and were previously drawn at that fixed size no matter what you played on. They now scale with your display, so text and panels are the right size on 1440p, 4K and ultrawide monitors instead of shrinking into a corner. This covers the store, inventory, trading, item inspection, the scoreboard, the pause menu, match end screens, map voting, the radio, admin tools, voice chat, notifications and the settings window.
On monitors narrower than 16:9 the interface now scales down as a whole instead of squashing wide elements against tall ones.
The corner radar scaled its width and height by different amounts, stretching the circle. It is now round at every aspect ratio.
The challenge trackers used fixed positions that no longer lined up above 1080p, and could sit on top of the time played box. Their anchor points now follow the rest of the HUD per gamemode.
The number of item cards per row is now worked out from the actual card size instead of a fixed number, so grids no longer leave a large empty gap on wide displays.
Improvements include:
Suggest music for the AutoDJ directly on the radio page.
When viewing someone's profile, you can see which part of the website they are viewing.
