Community Market Taxes - Why we charge taxes and what it is spent on

Every transaction on the Community Market is subject to a tax, imposed by each game.

Tax revenue generated by Community Market transactions is stored in an account where the funds will be used to give back to the community as a whole. Examples of this include:

  • Giving away money as part of a prize initiative
  • The purchase of High-Grade economy items for use in prize initiatives
  • Payments to Lambda Staff in the form of activity initiatives

The protection of the Lambda economy is our priority, and as such by charging taxes on each transaction, we can fund community initiatives without having to spawn money or items which would potentially disrupt the economy.

Games and their tax rates

Below you'll find a list of supported games on Lambda and the tax rates charged for each transaction. Not all games are Community Market enabled and therefore do not have any taxes for market transactions
