Guardian is a Co-Op wave survival gamemode based on the CS:GO gamemode of the same name, where your job is to protect a bomb site or hostages from waves of bots who get harder and harder the more you win.
Guardian maps have different spawn points compared to standard Defuse or Hostage Rescue scenarios.
| Name | Class Name | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Play Area | info_guardian_playarea |
Place this at the centre of the play area for humans. |
| Guardian Parameters | info_guardian_parameters |
This entity configures certain parameters for the Guardian gamemode such as the scenario, max player distance, and more. |
| Player Spawn | info_guardian_spawn |
Spawn points for human players. Put these near where the info_guardian_playarea is located. |
| Bot Spawns | info_player_terrorist |
Spawn points for bots. These should be as far away as possible from the human play area. You can use another spawn point type configured in info_guardian_parameters if desired. |
Guardian supports two scenarios:
Under info_guardian_parameters this is the default scenario. You should ensure you've created a Brush entity with the class func_bomb_target and place it within the Guardian play area.
You must spawn at least one info_guardian_hostage entity. You can also configure the name to any name you'd like.

Buy zones are not required for Guardian maps as humans are always allowed to buy after waves have completed. Bots are assigned loadouts automatically and do not use the buy system.
