Weapon Finishes
Chromatic Style
Chromatic Style Example

This style works similar to Animated Style, however you do not have to specify any animations and the colours are static.

Specify up to three areas within your finish to allow recolouring.

Colour #0 is not used in this style and never needs to be defined.

Required Composite Inputs

  • Diffuse Texture
  • Colour Mask

Colour Mask

By using the red, green and blue channels to create a mask, you can have up to three areas within your finish that can show different colours.

In the example below, we are using the PP-Bizon | Infected. The animation mask only has areas in red, so this has one area, the other two are ignored.

You can add additional areas in the green and blue channel

Diffuse Alpha Channel

The alpha channel, like with Custom Paint Styles defines masking and wear durabilty. Since the majority of the alpha channel is white, this wears using default wear behaviour, while the coloured areas are pure black, so even on a 1.0 Battle-Scared finish, the coloured areas are always visible.
